In September 2023, the Berlin branch of the Swedish photography museum Fotografiska opened its doors on 5,500 square metres in the well-known Tacheles building on Oranienburger Straße in Mitte. From up-and-coming talents to internationally renowned artists, Fotografiska Berlin strives to present works by the world's best photographers. Through impressive photo exhibitions and a varied cultural programme, the building aims to establish itself as an open cultural centre in the capital. A restaurant is also being planned. Fotografiska Berlin will be the fourth branch of the photography museum and joins the museums in Stockholm, New York and Tallinn.
