The Museum Berggruen, also known as the Berggruen Collection, shines in Berlin's Charlottenburg district as one of the world's most outstanding collections of classical modern art. This extraordinary collection, consisting of works by renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque, Paul Klee and Henri Matisse, was given to his home city of Berlin by collector and art dealer Heinz Berggruen in an impressive "gesture of reconciliation" at a price far below its actual value. The Museum Berggruen, as part of the Berlin National Gallery, presents this impressive variety of artworks under one majestic roof. In 2019, the museum proudly welcomed around 74,000 visitors who were attracted by the fascinating art and unique atmosphere.
