Käthe Kollwitz Museum
The permanent exhibition offers an interesting insight into the zeitgeist of the era and vividly illustrates the artist's life and work. Particularly noteworthy is the remarkable collection of self-portraits from this period, which offer a fascinating insight into Kollwitz' self-perception.
It is also commendable that the exhibition also reports on the artist's role models and friends such as Max Liebermann, which deepens our understanding of her artistic environment.
A particular highlight is the Easter holiday course, which offers an interactive and educational experience for children. This shows that the museum also offers programmes for young visitors, which is very positive.
The Käthe Kollwitz Museum offers a good opportunity to engage with the life and work of this important artist, even if it may not have exceeded all expectations.
